LONDON PLANNING SECTOR SEES TALENT MOVE AS AVNEESH BAINS JOINS MARRONS

Planning, design and development consultancy Marrons has expanded its London planning team with the appointment of Avneesh Bains as a senior planner, reinforcing the firm’s growth strategy across the capital and the wider South East.
Bains joins the consultancy from DLP Planning, where she progressed from planner to senior planner after beginning her career as a graduate planner at property consultancy Avison Young. Her appointment reflects Marrons’ continued investment in its London office as demand grows for specialist planning advice across residential and mixed-use development projects.
During her career to date, Bains has developed significant experience working on residential schemes, supporting clients through the preparation of planning appraisals and applications across a range of development projects. Her work has involved advising both private developers and landowners on planning strategy and navigating the complexities of the UK planning system.
Speaking about the move, Bains said she was drawn to the consultancy’s collaborative culture and multidisciplinary approach.
“I was attracted to Marrons for its strong reputation in the planning industry and the chance to be part of a multidisciplinary team that’s continuing to grow.
“Marrons’ diverse project portfolio will allow me to expand my experience while contributing to the consultancy’s success.
“I’m particularly excited to help develop the talented planning team, share knowledge, and deliver positive outcomes for our clients and the communities we serve.”
Marrons’ London office plays a key role in the firm’s wider expansion across southern England. The team advises on planning strategy, design integration and socio-economic considerations for projects across the capital’s outer boroughs and the surrounding South East region.
The consultancy has increasingly positioned itself as a multidisciplinary adviser, supporting developers and investors through the planning process while helping shape projects that respond to local economic and community needs.
Roland Brass, planning director at Marrons’ London office, said the appointment reflects the consultancy’s continued momentum in the region.
“We’re delighted to welcome Avneesh to the team. She brings a wealth of experience and a proactive, collaborative approach that aligns perfectly with Marrons’ values.
“It’s exciting times as we continue to grow our London and southern offer.”
As competition intensifies across the UK planning and development consultancy sector, firms are investing heavily in experienced planners capable of navigating evolving regulatory frameworks, housing delivery targets and complex stakeholder environments.
For Marrons, the appointment signals further strengthening of its London capability as it seeks to expand its influence across one of the UK’s most dynamic property markets.
