DIGITAL SIGNAGE PLATFORM SCREENCLOUD NAMES CÉDRIC GUYOT CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Enterprise digital signage platform ScreenCloud has appointed Cédric Guyot as Chief Executive Officer, signalling a new phase of commercial expansion for the technology company as demand grows for tools that connect and engage frontline workforces.

The leadership change also sees Co-Founder Mark McDermott transition into the role of Chief Product Officer, placing the company’s product strategy under direct founder leadership as ScreenCloud prepares to scale its enterprise platform.

The move follows what the company describes as a landmark year, including a strategic investment from Tenzing Private Equity in April 2025, which provided new capital to accelerate product development and international expansion.

Together, the changes reflect a deliberate shift in leadership structure: pairing experienced SaaS commercial leadership with the product vision that originally drove the platform’s growth.

ScreenCloud has become one of the most widely used digital signage platforms for large organisations seeking to improve communication with distributed or frontline teams. Its software allows businesses to manage and deploy content across workplace screens, helping companies share operational updates, safety messaging and internal communications across multiple locations.

Founder focuses on product strategy

For McDermott, who co-founded ScreenCloud more than a decade ago, the shift to Chief Product Officer represents a return to the company’s core technology and product roadmap.

“Building ScreenCloud over the past decade has meant wearing every hat the company needed,” he said.

“What this business has today, the product, the customer relationships, the team, is something I’m genuinely proud of. The product roadmap ahead is the most ambitious we’ve ever had: moving into the CPO role ensures I can focus where I can have the most impact, while bringing in Cédric gives us the commercial leadership to match it.”

The restructuring allows the company to maintain founder-led innovation while strengthening its commercial and operational capabilities as it targets larger enterprise clients.

SaaS veteran takes the helm

Guyot joins ScreenCloud with more than 25 years of leadership experience in enterprise B2B software, most recently serving as Chief Executive of XTEL, a SaaS platform focused on analytics and planning solutions for the consumer goods sector.

His previous leadership roles include senior positions at Kantar Retail Virtual Reality, Retail Solutions and Agentrics, where he worked extensively with global retailers and consumer brands on digital transformation initiatives.

His appointment reflects the company’s ambition to scale its technology platform and capitalise on the growing role of digital signage in modern workplace communications.

“What Mark and the team have built here is rare: a product that genuinely leads its category, with a customer base that proves it,” Guyot said.

“Digital signage has spent a decade being underestimated. The technology has caught up, the enterprise appetite is there, and ScreenCloud has quietly built the best product in the space. This is the moment to stop being quiet about it.”

Digital signage gains strategic importance

Digital signage technology has evolved rapidly in recent years, becoming a key communication channel for businesses with distributed workforces across sectors such as retail, logistics, healthcare and manufacturing.

Organisations are increasingly using workplace screens to deliver real-time operational updates, employee engagement messaging and internal communications, particularly for staff who do not regularly work at desks or use corporate email systems.

As a result, platforms such as ScreenCloud are benefiting from broader enterprise digital transformation trends.

With fresh investment backing and a leadership structure combining product-led innovation and experienced SaaS commercial leadership, ScreenCloud is positioning itself to expand further in a market where businesses are seeking more effective ways to reach frontline employees.
