UK TICC GROUP ACCELERATES EUROPEAN EXPANSION WITH STRATEGIC ACQUISITION OF FRENCH COMPLIANCE FIRM INGÉDIAG

Celnor Group, the rapidly expanding UK testing and compliance business, has strengthened its foothold in continental Europe with the acquisition of Ingédiag, a French environmental monitoring and property diagnostics provider. The deal forms part of a broader push by the London-based group to build a multi-national platform in the testing, inspection, certification and compliance (TICC) sector—one of the fastest-growing segments of business services in Europe.
Founded in 2023 by industry veteran Simon Parrington and backed by Inflexion Private Equity, Celnor has grown from a start-up concept to a £200m-revenue group in just two years. The company now comprises more than 35 specialist businesses operating out of 60 locations, employing 2,000 people across six countries including the UK, France and the United States.
The purchase of Ingédiag is Celnor’s second acquisition in France and follows earlier deals in analytical sciences and environmental testing. The company has also secured lender support from Ares Management’s Credit Fund to finance further expansion.
Ingédiag, founded in 2008 and headquartered in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy, serves homeowners, developers and construction firms across the Grand Est region. Its services range from asbestos, lead, gas and electrical assessments to structural evaluations and mandatory diagnostics required for property transactions. It also offers thermal studies, energy audits, renovation advisory services and advanced 3D modelling, using tools such as thermography and airtightness testing to help improve building performance and efficiency.
Nicolas Forcadette, Ingédiag’s chief executive, said the acquisition marks an important turning point for the business. “Joining the Celnor Group marks an exciting new chapter for Ingédiag. With Celnor’s financial strength and proven expertise in growth, we’re ready to accelerate our development in building diagnostics and studies. This partnership positions Ingédiag to become a leading national player, and opens the door to expanding into the European market in the near future.”
Celnor sees the French market as a strategic pillar for its European ambitions, particularly as demand rises for environmental compliance, property inspections and energy-efficiency assessments. The Group provides data, consultancy and regulatory insights to more than 7,000 clients, supporting safety standards across homes, commercial buildings and public infrastructure.
Welcoming the acquisition, Simon Parrington, chief executive and founder of Celnor, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Ingédiag into the Celnor group. Their expertise perfectly complements our vision to broaden our service offering in property compliance and sustainability across the region. This partnership strengthens our presence in France and underscores our commitment to delivering integrated, high-quality testing and inspection services across Europe. I’m looking forward to supporting Nicolas and the team in their next stage of growth.”
Celnor’s model—acquire, integrate and scale entrepreneur-led specialist firms—has underpinned a steady stream of deals, including its first US purchase, John Turner Consulting, last year. With more than a dozen acquisitions completed in its first 18 months, the group intends to continue consolidating the fragmented TICC market across both Europe and North America.
