FLEXIBLE OFFICE PROVIDER OREGA TO OPEN HIGH-SPEC WORKSPACE AT CITYPOINT

Orega, one of the UK’s leading flexible workspace providers, has signed a major deal with Brookfield Properties to launch a new high-specification office hub at Citypoint, 1 Ropemaker Street, in the heart of London’s financial district.

The 23,252 sq ft site will occupy the building’s Level 5 podium, creating a modern, design-led environment for professional and financial firms seeking premium, adaptable office space. The centre is due to open in April 2026, marking Orega’s eighth London location and signalling continued demand for high-quality flexible workspace in the capital.

Located on the northern edge of the City, Citypoint is a landmark 36-storey tower offering 630,000 sq ft of Grade A office space with panoramic skyline views and direct access to Moorgate Station. The agreement with Orega means the building is now fully let, highlighting the strong appetite for premium space in one of London’s best-connected areas.

Ben Hutchen, Real Estate Director at Orega, said: “We are delighted to be partnering a leading real estate company such as Brookfield Properties, who trust us to deliver the returns in their building. We continue to see great opportunities for flex space across London, and we now have eight flexible workspace centres in the capital.”

He added: “We are successfully catering for the high demand from businesses in London who are increasingly looking for a flexible way to occupy property but also require high-quality ‘state-of-the-art’ space in a central location, near good transport links. We believe this trend will continue with the current economic uncertainty and reluctance of businesses to be tied into long leases.”

The new Orega Citypoint centre will include:

  • A hospitality-focused design

  • A range of workspaces to suit hybrid and agile teams

  • Tech-enabled meeting rooms

  • On-site shower and changing facilities

  • Barista-quality coffee

  • Secure bike storage

  • Enhanced space allocation per person

  • Expansive city views

Citypoint’s location offers more than just premium office space. The tower features a Health and Wellbeing Centre, a Nuffield Health gym and pool, and a wide selection of restaurants including Notes, Hola Guacamole, The Refinery and Costa. It also boasts a BREEAM Excellent sustainability rating and hosts Brookfield Properties’ Activated programme, which brings public art and cultural events to the Citypoint Plaza.

Martin Wallace, Senior Vice President of Leasing at Brookfield Properties UK, said: “Reaching full occupancy at Citypoint is a significant milestone for Brookfield Properties and a testament to the strength of our leasing strategy in the City. We’re proud to have a diverse mix of occupiers who value flexibility, design and location. Citypoint continues to perform as one of the City’s premier office destinations.”

Wallace added that the Orega partnership underscores the sustained demand for premium, well-connected office environments and reinforces Brookfield’s reputation as one of London’s leading workplace destination providers.

The move continues Orega’s expansion momentum, following recent openings at 80 Strand and 51 Lime Street, as well as earlier sites at Holborn Gate, Mark Lane, Gracechurch Street, and Lime Street. The company now operates 25 locations across the UK, primarily under joint-venture models with major real estate owners.

As the capital’s flexible workspace sector matures, the collaboration between Brookfield Properties and Orega represents a growing shift among landlords towards high-end, hospitality-driven workspace partnerships – a trend expected to define the future of London’s commercial property market.
