GLU STRENGTHENS LEADERSHIP AS DEMAND SURGES FOR AI-POWERED MANAGED SERVICES

GLU BUILDS NEW EXECUTIVE TEAM TO DRIVE GLOBAL AI-POWERED EXPANSION

Technology services provider Glu has appointed a new executive leadership team as it prepares to accelerate its international expansion following investment from Connectus and growing demand for AI-powered managed services.

Glu, a provider of customer experience management, AI-powered managed services, connectivity and proactive monitoring and support, has strengthened its senior leadership as part of an agreed international scale-up strategy.

The appointments follow investment from Connectus and what Glu describes as increasing global demand for always-on, AI-driven service delivery.

The move builds on Connectus’ backing of Glu Digital, announced in June 2026, which resulted in the formation of Digital Connect Group and Glu Digital’s acquisition of wireless surveying specialist Colander Technology.

The strategy brings together complementary technology businesses while preserving Glu’s channel-only operating model.

NEW LEADERSHIP FOR THE SCALE-UP

Roy Shelton has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Glu and will lead the company’s strategic direction during its next stage of expansion.

Shelton is also CEO of Connectus, a managed IT and technology services company operating a buy-and-build growth strategy across Cheshire, Greater Manchester, South Yorkshire, North Wales and Shropshire.

He is also founder of DropJaw Ventures and President of the Chester Business Club, and has experience building and scaling technology services businesses.

Alongside Shelton, Glu has made three further senior appointments covering revenue, operations and service delivery.

AI-POWERED SERVICES AT CENTRE OF GROWTH STRATEGY

The appointments come as Glu seeks to capitalise on businesses’ growing requirements for technology services capable of operating continuously across international markets.

Its offering spans customer experience management, agentic AI-managed services, connectivity and proactive monitoring and support.

For managed technology providers, the growth of artificial intelligence is increasingly extending beyond standalone software products into the automation and management of ongoing business processes.

Glu is positioning AI-driven service delivery as a central part of its proposition as it expands its international footprint.

Shelton said: “Glu is poised for significant growth, and we continue to invest in people, process and technology to meet unprecedented demand for customer experience management, agentic AI-managed services, connectivity, and proactive monitoring and support on a global, 24×7 basis.

“This new leadership team gives us the depth and capability to deliver at scale for our clients, wherever in the world they operate.”

BUILDING ON CONNECTUS INVESTMENT

The executive restructuring represents the latest stage of the growth strategy following Connectus’ investment in Glu Digital.

The subsequent creation of Digital Connect Group and acquisition of Colander Technology broadened the capabilities sitting within the wider operation.

Maintaining Glu’s channel-only model is also significant as the business expands, allowing it to develop its services while continuing to work through partners.

The new leadership structure divides responsibility for strategy, revenue generation, service delivery and day-to-day management as the company seeks to increase its capacity without compromising operational control.

For Glu, the next test will be converting growing demand for AI-enabled technology services into sustainable international expansion while maintaining the service levels required by national and global clients operating around the clock.
