IRISH INSURANCE SPECIALIST FROST UNDERWRITING PARTNERS WITH TOTAL SYSTEMS

FROST UNDERWRITING SELECTS TOTAL SYSTEMS TO DRIVE NEXT PHASE OF DIGITAL GROWTH

Irish underwriting agency Frost Underwriting has selected specialist insurance software provider Total Systems to support its next phase of digital transformation, following an extensive review of the insurance technology market as the business looks to strengthen its growth strategy.

Frost Underwriting, one of the Republic of Ireland’s largest underwriting agencies, has appointed Total Systems as its strategic technology partner after completing a comprehensive review of the insurance software market.

The move forms part of Frost Underwriting’s long-term growth strategy as the business seeks to modernise its technology platform while continuing to expand its broker network and specialist underwriting capabilities.

Established in 2008, Frost Underwriting forms part of the Frost Insurances Group and now works with more than 250 insurance brokers across Ireland. The company has built its reputation on specialist insurance products, competitive pricing and a service-led approach to underwriting.

Following an extensive evaluation of available technology providers, the business selected Total Systems’ Bluescape platform to support its future digital development.

Technology To Support Growth

The insurance industry is increasingly investing in digital platforms that improve operational efficiency, streamline broker relationships and enhance customer service.

For underwriting agencies, scalable technology has become an important competitive differentiator as businesses seek to respond more quickly to changing market conditions and evolving customer expectations.

Ted Frost, Managing Director of Frost Insurances, said the decision extended beyond software functionality and reflected the quality of the relationship established during the selection process.

“Our final selection was based not only on the technology, but also on the quality of the people we engaged with and the reflection of our own business in the demonstrations provided,” he said.

“Bluescape can clearly take our business forward.

“We chose Total Systems because they offer the best digital platform for our needs. They are a company that we are looking forward to working with.”

Strengthening Digital Capability

Total Systems specialises in technology solutions for financial services organisations, providing software designed to help insurers and other financial institutions manage increasingly complex operational environments.

Founded in 1971, the company develops flexible and scalable platforms that enable organisations to modernise business processes while responding more effectively to customer expectations.

Rhys Collins, Managing Director of Total Systems, welcomed the partnership and said the company looked forward to supporting Frost Underwriting’s continued expansion.

“We are delighted that Frost Insurances have selected us following their market review,” he said.

“I am confident that our technology will support their business growth and exceed expectations as they continue to enhance their reputation in the market.

“We are looking forward to delivering a first-class solution and establishing an enduring relationship.”

Positioning For Future Expansion

Founded in 1951, Frost Insurances has grown into one of Ireland’s leading insurance brokers and underwriting businesses, providing a broad range of general insurance products through relationships with domestic and international underwriters.

The latest investment reflects a wider trend across the insurance sector, where firms are upgrading core technology infrastructure to improve operational resilience, support future growth and enhance service delivery for brokers and clients.

As underwriting businesses continue to embrace digital transformation, partnerships between insurance specialists and technology providers are expected to play an increasingly important role in improving efficiency, strengthening broker relationships and supporting long-term competitiveness.
