BAS3LINE LAUNCHES ALPHA SIGNATURE RACKET WITH GB INTERNATIONAL ALFONSO PATACHO
British padel brand Bas3line has unveiled its first signature racket, marking a significant step forward for the fast-growing company as it looks to challenge established international manufacturers in one of the UK’s fastest-expanding sports.
The Alpha racket has been developed in partnership with Great Britain international player Alfonso Patacho and represents a major milestone for the business founded by sports physiotherapist Wesley Teixeira and entrepreneur Domenico Speciale.
The launch also serves as a validation of Bas3line’s central proposition: that equipment designed to reduce injury risk can still deliver the performance standards demanded by elite athletes.
Designed For Elite Competition
The Alpha has been built around Bas3line’s patent-pending Hollowbridge® technology, which was developed to reduce overall racket weight and minimise stress on the wrist, elbow and shoulder.
Patacho worked closely with the company’s product development, manufacturing and design teams throughout the process, helping refine the racket’s balance, sweet spot positioning and overall performance characteristics.
The result is a lightweight 355g racket featuring an EVA Soft Black 28 medium-density core designed to provide greater feel and control, complemented by a 24k carbon face and higher balance point aimed at generating power without sacrificing precision.
Alfonso Patacho said: “I have hit with a lot of rackets over the course of my career, and I was honest with the team at Bas3line, that this had to live up to the demands of top-level padel.
“We worked closely together, refining the technical details and balance to ensure it felt right – and this does.

Born From A Growing Injury Challenge
The origins of Bas3line can be traced back to an increasing number of padel-related injuries being seen in clinical practice.
Teixeira, who operates Physio Vita at The Queen’s Club in London, noticed a sharp rise in players seeking treatment for arm, wrist and shoulder issues associated with the rapidly growing sport.
In response, he collaborated with a composite engineering specialist from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David to develop Hollowbridge® technology, a design intended to reduce strain while maintaining high-level performance.
The concept quickly evolved from a clinical solution into a commercial opportunity as participation in padel surged across the UK and internationally.
Riding The UK’s Padel Boom
Padel has become one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, attracting players from tennis, squash and other racket sports with its accessible format and strong social appeal.
