AWARD-WINNING AGENCY SPIN ADDS COMMERCIAL FIREPOWER WITH GEORGE DAVID APPOINTMENT

SPIN APPOINTS GEORGE DAVID AS GROUP COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR TO SUPPORT GLOBAL EXPANSION

Award-winning social media agency Spin has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of George David as Group Commercial Director, as the business continues its rapid growth across international markets.

The London-based agency has recruited David to lead its commercial strategy, accelerate revenue growth and deepen client relationships across its expanding portfolio of specialist creative businesses.

The appointment comes during a period of significant momentum for Spin, which has secured a series of high-profile client wins, expanded internationally and strengthened its position within the competitive social media and content marketing sector.

Senior Growth Specialist Joins Leadership Team

David joins Spin from Wilderness, the communications agency acquired by Havas, where he served as Head of Growth. Before that, he was European Business Development Manager at global advertising agency Anomaly.

His experience spans commercial strategy, business development and agency growth, having worked with some of the most recognised names in the communications and marketing industry.

At Spin, he will report directly to Co-Founder Max Whicher and take responsibility for driving new business opportunities while helping shape the commercial strategy across the group’s portfolio.

That portfolio includes Spin itself, YouTube specialist agency Be A Bear and production company Tiny Studios.

Building On Recent Momentum

The appointment follows a strong period of growth for the agency.

Recent competitive pitch wins have included major consumer and transport brands such as Fortnum & Mason, Five Guys and National Rail, while the agency has also retained long-standing relationships with clients including Paramount, Channel 5 and Instax.

Spin has also continued its international expansion strategy with a recent launch into the Asia-Pacific region, further extending its global footprint.

The agency was named Social Media Agency of the Year at the Europe Agency Awards and received a highly commended recognition at The Drum Awards for Agency of the Year.

Supporting The Next Phase Of Growth

Max Whicher believes David’s experience aligns closely with the agency’s ambitions as brands increasingly seek specialist expertise across social media, creator marketing and content production.

Max Whicher, Co-Founder of Spin, said: “George is exactly the kind of commercial talent we’ve been looking for – someone who doesn’t just understand how to win business, but genuinely gets what brands need from social in 2026.

“His energy, his experience and his instincts are a perfect fit for where Spin is headed. We’re delighted to have him on board.”

For David, the move represents an opportunity to join an agency that has established a strong reputation for combining creative excellence with measurable business outcomes.

George David said: “Spin has built something genuinely special – a team that creates social content people actually want to engage with, and a culture that attracts brilliant creative talent.

“I’m thrilled to be joining at this stage and can’t wait to get to work helping more brands discover what Spin can do for them.”

Growth Continues Across Social Media Sector

As brands continue increasing investment in digital content, influencer marketing and platform-specific creative strategies, agencies with specialist social media expertise remain in high demand.

Spin’s continued investment in senior leadership reflects confidence in both the market opportunity and the agency’s ability to compete for larger global accounts.

With new commercial leadership in place and international expansion underway, the business appears well positioned to capitalise on growing demand for social-first marketing strategies in an increasingly competitive digital landscape.
