OEG EXPANDS WIND ENERGY CAPABILITY WITH ACQUISITION OF HYBRID RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
OEG BUILDS WIND ENERGY SCALE WITH ACQUISITION OF SPECIALIST TECHNICAL SERVICES PROVIDER
Energy solutions business OEG has strengthened its position in the rapidly expanding wind energy sector with the acquisition of Hybrid Resource Management, a specialist provider of onshore and offshore wind workforce solutions operating across the UK and Europe.
The deal enhances OEG’s technical services capability while increasing its capacity to support wind farm operators and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in one of the fastest-growing segments of the global energy market.
Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Newquay, Cornwall, Hybrid has established itself as a specialist provider of workforce solutions for the operations and maintenance (O&M) sector, supporting both preventative maintenance programmes and major corrective repair projects across onshore and offshore wind assets.
Strengthening Technical Capability
The acquisition adds more than 80 highly skilled technicians and specialist personnel to OEG’s workforce, significantly increasing its technical capability as demand for experienced wind energy professionals continues to rise across Europe.
Hybrid has built its reputation by supporting OEMs operating in complex environments, drawing on a leadership team with more than 75 years of combined industry experience.
The business will continue to operate under the Hybrid brand in the short term, with full integration into OEG planned during the first quarter of 2027.
Directors Stephen Potter and Morwenna Richards will remain in place to lead the business and ensure continuity for customers and employees throughout the transition period.
Building A Renewable Energy Market Leader
The acquisition marks OEG’s fifteenth wind-related transaction since the company accelerated its expansion into renewables in 2021.
The strategy reflects growing confidence in the long-term opportunities presented by the global energy transition and the increasing demand for specialist services supporting operational wind assets.
As wind farms mature across Europe and new projects continue to come online, demand for maintenance, repairs and specialist technical support is expected to grow significantly over the coming decade.

While much of the industry’s attention has traditionally focused on wind farm construction and development, the operations and maintenance market is becoming an increasingly important growth area.
As installed wind capacity expands, operators require larger specialist workforces capable of maintaining assets, maximising uptime and ensuring long-term operational efficiency.
The acquisition positions OEG to capture a larger share of this market while broadening the range of services it can offer customers across the renewable energy value chain.
