MORR & CO TAPS INDUSTRY VETERAN TO DRIVE COMMERCIAL PROPERTY GROWTH

Regional law firm Morr & Co has expanded its commercial property capability with the appointment of Nick Leavey as partner, signalling further investment in its real estate practice as demand for specialist advice continues across the South East and London.

Leavey brings 25 years of experience advising clients across the property sector, with a career spanning commercial and mixed-use development, landlord and tenant matters, and portfolio management. His appointment comes as Morr & Co continues to grow its presence across Surrey, Hampshire and the capital.

In his new role, Leavey will focus on developing the firm’s commercial property offering, working closely with existing clients while supporting the firm’s broader expansion strategy.

Catherine Fisher, managing partner at Morr & Co, said: “Nick and I both worked together previously so I know first-hand how dedicated he is, both to delivering exceptional client service and to driving business growth. He is the ideal person to build on the success of our commercial property team.”

Over his career, Leavey has advised a diverse client base including listed companies, public sector bodies, global corporates, family-owned businesses and private individuals. His transaction experience ranges from smaller projects to deals valued at tens of millions of pounds, covering acquisition, disposal and asset management across a variety of sectors.

He is known for providing commercially focused advice rooted in a clear understanding of clients’ operational and strategic objectives. In addition to private sector work, he has developed particular expertise advising organisations in the public and education sectors.

Leavey will be based across Morr & Co’s Redhill and Wimbledon offices, strengthening the firm’s ability to support clients across its core geographic markets.

“I have always really enjoyed helping clients grow their businesses, through delivering excellent client service, in turn helping my colleagues develop our own business, and so Morr & Co is a great fit – and working closer to home is the icing on the cake!” he said.

Leavey joins from Knights Plc, which acquired his former firm Coffin Mew. During his time there, he held senior leadership roles including Chairman and Head of Real Estate.

Morr & Co’s commercial property team advises landlords, tenants, investors, developers and landowners on navigating a complex and fast-moving market. Its work spans acquisition and disposal, planning, funding, development, construction and leasing, with clients across healthcare, office, retail, industrial, pensions, portfolio management, licensed premises and not-for-profit organisations.

The firm said the appointment reflects its continued commitment to deepening sector expertise while maintaining a strong regional footprint.
