OTALA.MARKETS LAUNCHES IN UK WITH STRUCTURED INVESTMENT SOLUTIONS

Otala.Markets, a specialist investment bank focused on structured investment solutions, has entered the UK market with ambitions to secure a foothold in one of the world’s most sophisticated financial hubs.

The firm, which has a 10-year track record in designing and distributing structured investment products across Europe, will be chaired by Ricky Knox, serial entrepreneur and founder of Tandem Bank. Knox joins founder Antonio De Negri and director Lorenzo Calcagni in spearheading the company’s UK expansion.

Founded in 2014 under its former name Cirdan Capital, Otala has created and issued more than 1,000 products valued at over $3 billion. Its offering includes yield-enhancement instruments, capital protection solutions, Actively Managed Certificates (AMCs) and securitisation services. Products are listed on Europe’s main exchanges, with demand driven by fintech platforms, wealth boutiques and institutional investors.

According to the European Structured Products Association (Eusipa), the structured products market in Europe was worth around €453 billion in Q1 2025, growing at roughly 10% annually. Otala is aiming for a 3–5% share of the UK market, targeting both retail and institutional investors with bespoke investment products.

“Otala.Markets was founded on the belief that investors deserve greater choice and control,” said Antonio De Negri. “The UK launch is an important milestone that allows us to bring our innovative model, combining technology, transparency and client focus, to one of the most sophisticated financial markets in the world.”

Knox’s appointment is expected to be a catalyst for growth, given his track record of scaling digital banking and fintech ventures internationally. De Negri’s background in trading and portfolio management, alongside Calcagni’s experience in scaling high-growth businesses, positions Otala to compete aggressively in a competitive UK landscape.

With fintech adoption rising and investor appetite for tailored solutions growing, Otala.Markets’ entry underscores how innovation in structured investments is reshaping the financial services sector.
