KFSHRC TO UNVEIL STRATEGY AT C3 DAVOS OF HEALTHCARE™ IN JAPAN

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) will play a prominent role at the C3 Davos of Healthcare™ Japan Summit on 24 September 2025, as it sets out Saudi Arabia’s vision for a modern, globally connected healthcare system.
The summit, themed “A Tri-Nation Collaboration: Building Bridges Beyond Borders in Healthcare”, will convene global leaders, policymakers, investors and innovators to advance international dialogue and collaboration.
Heading the KFSHRC delegation is H.E. Dr Majid Alfayyadh, Saudi Royal Court Advisor and Chief Executive Officer of the institution, who will deliver a keynote address titled “King Faisal’s Vision for Integrated Healthcare & Investing in a New Infrastructure for Modern Medicine.”
Dr Alfayyadh will outline Saudi Arabia’s strategy for building a patient-centred, digitally enabled healthcare ecosystem, highlighting initiatives in digital health, hospital expansion and medical education. His address will also explore how public-private partnerships, regulatory reform and international investment are shaping the Kingdom’s healthcare future, offering opportunities for global cooperation.
Alongside the keynote, KFSHRC executives will contribute to high-level discussions on healthcare transformation. Dr Esam Abdullah Al Banyan, Chief Education & Training Officer, will join a session on “How the US & Japan Can Contribute to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 in Healthcare,” focusing on collaboration in biotechnology, robotics and ageing care.
Meanwhile, Dr Osama AlSwailem, Assistant Chief Executive Officer, will participate in the panel “Incorporating Healthcare Data & Genomics into AI Models to Identify Rare Diseases,” addressing how advanced data science and precision medicine can drive early diagnosis and improved outcomes. Both executives will also serve as judges at the Startup Showcase, underlining KFSHRC’s commitment to innovation-driven healthcare entrepreneurship.
KFSHRC’s participation underscores its ambition to advance medical excellence and global engagement. Ranked first in the Middle East and Africa and 20th worldwide among the top 250 Academic Medical Centres for the second consecutive year, the hospital was also recognised in 2024 by Brand Finance as the most valuable healthcare brand in the Kingdom and the wider region, and by Newsweek as one of the world’s top 250 hospitals.
“By joining the C3 Davos of Healthcare™ Japan Summit, KFSHRC aims to strengthen global alliances that accelerate innovation and improve health outcomes across borders,” the institution said in a statement.
With its strong international standing and central role in advancing Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 healthcare agenda, KFSHRC’s presence at the Tokyo summit highlights the Kingdom’s increasing influence in shaping the future of global healthcare.
