MOORE KINGSTON SMITH APPOINTS MELANIE REED TO HEAD OF ADVISORY ROLE

Moore Kingston Smith has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Melanie Reed as Head of Advisory, a newly created role designed to deliver a more integrated and seamless client service.

Reed will spearhead the cohesive delivery of the firm’s extensive advisory portfolio, which spans corporate finance, legal, restructuring and insolvency, wealth management, forensics, valuations, HR consultancy, business growth and cyber security. She will also continue to specialise in M&A tax advice, particularly for clients in the media sector.

Bringing more than 20 years of experience, Reed began her career in tax at just 18, before spending 12 years at Grant Thornton and later leading RSM’s national corporate tax practice. Since joining Moore Kingston Smith in 2021, she has been instrumental in expanding its advisory offering. Her track record at top ten firms and reputation for collaboration give her, according to the firm, “a deep understanding of the professional services landscape.”

Her leadership appointment underscores Moore Kingston Smith’s strategic ambitions, with the firm emphasising her ability to inspire teams and foster innovation. The move is also seen as a reflection of the firm’s focus on building a forward-thinking, inclusive culture.
