GOURMET BURGER RESTAURANT TO OPEN IN CLAPHAM FOLLOWING SUPPORT FROM HSBC UK

A Surrey-based handmade gourmet burger restaurant and takeaway business is opening a new site in Southwest London on 15 May 2024, following a six-figure funding package from HSBC UK.

Brasa Burger has used funding from HSBC UK to lease a new site in Clapham, which will seat up to 50 diners and will serve Brazilian inspired burgers, cocktails and desserts. In addition, Brasa Burger will be available for click and collect, as well as delivery via Deliveroo.

The company, whose first restaurant is opened in Haslemere, Surrey in 2021, is expecting to employ three new staff members including a barman, chef and waitress at the new location. Following the opening of the new restaurant, Brasa Burger expects its turnover to reach £1.8 million by the end of 2024.

Fernanda Zorzal and Carlos Martelosso, Owners at Brasa Burger, said: “Brasa Burger started life at our kitchen table in 2020 and it’s been a dream of ours to open our own chain.

“We’re grateful that with HSBC UK’s support we’ve been able to open our second restaurant in the popular location of Clapham, and we’re excited to be on our growth journey with many more Brasa Burgers to come.”

Simon Phillips, Relationship Manager at HSBC UK, added:“Brasa Burger has built up an exceptional reputation across Surrey in a short period of time. We are proud to be supporting the company with opening a new restaurant in London as the team move to the next stage on their growth journey.”
