BEXLEYHEATH METRO BANK DONATES TO LOCAL HOSPICE

Metro Bank colleagues from the Bexleyheath store have just donated £955.50 to Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice, thanks to the generous support of Drury Tea & Coffee

The Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice is a local charity dedicated to providing free, high-quality, compassionate care and support for people with a terminal illnesses, their families, and their professional carers in the London Boroughs of Royal Greenwich and Bexley.

Picture shows the cheque presented to the hospice – with Stacey Nicholls, Head of Barista training at Drury, Rick Pacitto, Local Director Metro Bank, Anna Vondrakova, Community Fundraising at Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice and Emma Bell, Store Manager Metro Bank.

The hospice cares for over 2,500 people each year, but receives only about one third of its funding from the NHS, which means that it depends on the generosity of its community to fund much of the care we provide for local people.

The money was raised in a charity raffle held in the Broadway Shopping Centre store with a hamper donated by Drury Tea & Coffee.

“We are so proud to have been able to support such a fantastic local charity,” said Bexleyheath Metro Bank Local Director, Rick Pacitto.  “Thanks to the donation by Drury Tea & Coffee and the generous support of our customers we have raised nearly a thousand pounds for the hospice which helps thousands of residents every year.”

Metro Bank’s Bexleyheath store is located at 66-68b The Broadway Shopping Centre, Bexleyheath DA6 7JN. The store is open Monday – Saturday: 8.30am – 6pm. Sunday: 11am – 5pm.
