WATERPROOF SPECIALIST RECOGNISED FOR ITS COMMITMENT TO PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
A waterproofing specialist was recognised for its commitment to reducing waste and protecting the environment by a national trade body.
At the 2022 Best Practice Awards, Arti Structural Waterproofing Ltd was highly commended in the Sustainability category. The awards were hosted by the Property Care Association (PCA). They handed out multiple accolades to member businesses and individuals that showcased the highest level of knowledge and professionalism.
Arti Structural Waterproofing is an innovative member of the UK Supply Chain Sustainability School. They switched to electric vehicles and they also support the use of public transport where possible after training through the programme. Arti also utilises recycling schemes provided by suppliers and they salvage off-cuts of excess products, they return these to the manufacturer to make into new products.
The company has made changes at its offices as well as promoting greener waterproofing practices to the construction industry. Their offices are now paperless and have a no-single-use-plastic rule, alongside this Arti has introduced office plants to improve air quality as well as mood and wellbeing.
A panel of expert judges assessed the award entries, they said: “This company has adopted a holistic approach to reducing environmental impact and improving staff welfare.”
“Their root and branch review of what they do and how, is sure to achieve the desired outcome,” they added.
The Sustainability Highly Commended award, sponsored by Shepherd PR, was given to the Arti Structural Waterproofing team at the ceremony held at the Slate in the University of Warwick.
Steve Hodgson, Chief Executive of the PCA, said: “Our members tackle a range of issues that can affect people’s homes and businesses, buildings of national importance or major infrastructure.” He concluded: “I congratulate Arti Structural Waterproofing on the professionalism and commitment to quality service that is recognised with this award.”
