NEW FREE RANGE FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE, ROASTHOST, OPENS IN LONDON

Following the huge success of its flagship and first site in Brighton, RoastHost, headed by Glen Halsey and Mike Matthews, is opening a second venue offering a rotisserie and proper gastro Sunday lunch with all the trimmings to the residents of London.

Series for Thanksgiving featuring side dishes galore to go with the turkey.

The London site is located at the Wenlock & Essex Pub, Islington. It will be open from Thursday to Sunday. Londoners will be able to choose from classics like cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire puddings, roasted potatoes and ethically sourced chicken, beef and pork, satisfying all roast lovers whether they are vegetarian, vegan, gluten free as well as meat lovers.

Founded on the principle of ‘keep it simple’, RoastHost only uses high quality free range and organic produce. All packaging will be sustainable and eco-friendly – with absolutely no plastic.

“Following our success in Brighton, requests from customers in London came flooding in – and it seemed like a natural step to open our second site in the capital” said Co-Founder Mike Matthews.

Owners Halsey and Matthews are building a business around no fuss cooking that allows the food to shine and, importantly, have developed a way to ensure its menu travels well.

Glen Halsey said: “We are over the moon to be launching in London. Earlier this year, we had bad luck when we first opened as the UK entered a nationwide lockdown but we persevered. Our offer, that combines the comfort of a delicious roast dinner with convenience, was a hit. After the runaway success of our branch in Brighton, we wanted to bring it to a central part of London and its many lovers of a good Roast dinner.”

Mike Matthews added: “I will be running the London venue so am incredibly excited to offer our Roasts in the capital. We have put a lot of thought, care and craftsmanship into the traditional British Roast in order to elevate it to something very special. Everything we serve is ethically sourced and we encourage everyone in London from students, busy workers, and tourists to – “Come Home to a Roast”.

RoastHost fans include the likes of YouTube stars Zoella, Alfie Deyes and Poppy Deyes. Zoella, Alfie and Poppy who all live in Brighton made sure to order from RoastHost with Poppy letting her 1 million Instagram followers know ‘we ordered a roast from roast host and WOW!’ and Alfie declares ‘The roast was delicious!’ Legendary hero of quarantine DJ Fat Tony explains how ‘insanely good’ the roasts are.

RoastHost is launching at the end of March and customers will be able to get their roasted dinner fix 12pm – 9pm every Thursday to Saturday, and 12pm to 7pm Sunday. It will be available for walk-ins, click & collect and delivery via the website. Delivery partners are: UberEATS and Deliveroo.
